Product description

The Alchemie T LED Table Lamp has been created by Giulia Archimede for the brand Catellani & Smith. Based around the idea of opposing elements, Alchemie evokes images of solar eclipses or the concept of yin and yang. As the name suggests, it turns simple elements into something truly precious, as the ancient practice of alchemy was thought to do.

The Alchemie T LED Table Lamp features a pair of discs, both of which are connected to a Medea limestone base. One of the discs is made from alabaster stone and remains fixed in place, while the other is made from brass and can slide along the base. Light is cast onto the alabaster surface, while the brass disc can be positioned to modulate its brightness or even eclipse the bulbs to create a halo effect.

Each diffuser measures 26cm in diameter while the Alchemie T LED Table Lamp as a whole is 54cm long. A cable is connected to the base, and this also holds the on/off switch. Illumination is provided by a strip of LEDs attached to the alabaster disc.
