Collections by Artemide

The lighting label Artemide was founded in the year 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza in Milan. Italian design stands for elegance and functionality, paired with a timeless character of the designs. Also the lamps by Artemide convince us with their elegant look and continuously advance to the status of lighting classics. To name a few, the legendary Tizio table lamp by Richard Sapper, die Mercury suspension lamp by Ross Lovegrove, the Eclisse table lamp / wall lamp by Vico Magistretti, the Tolomeo lighting collection by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina, as well as the Pipe standing light / Pipe wall lamp designed by Herzog & De Meuron. Other famous designers working with Artemide are Karim Rashid, Carlotta de Bevilacqua, Livio Castiglioni, or Giancarlo Fassina with their wonderful lighting creations.

In over 50 years of its company history Artemide not only had numerous renowned designers work for them, but also reached one of the top positions for lighting brands: Modern and innovative, yet timeless and elegant – Artemide has always met the spirit of the time and has been fulfilling their customers' demands to 100 percent. It is no wonder that many of their lamps have won the Red Dot Design Award in the past. Some of the awarded Artemide lights are the Melampo series, the Logico lights, the Talak Tavolo table lamp, the Mercury Soffito ceiling lamp, the Pirce suspension lamp, as well as the Cosmic Leaf lamps.

Lamps and lighting systems by Artemide not only serve as light sources, but also play an emotional role: As decorative object and to meet its owners needs satisfactorily suspension lamps, table lamps, or wall and ceiling lamps need to create a comfortable atmosphere, or stage paintings or other pieces of furniture with indirect lighting. Also in offices lamps like the Tolomeo desk lamp and the lighting systems by Artemide find application and fulfill their purpose.
