Kaari Wall Console

The Kaari Wall Console was designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for the brand Artek .

The Bouroullec brothers are based in France, but have collaborated with major Finnish label Artek for the Kaari collection. Just like the siblings' work in general, the Kaari furniture range is based around simple forms and intelligent use of materials. The heart of each design is arched steel Kaari means "arch" in Finnish , which provides support for tables, desks, and other furnishings without adding unsightly elements. It's classic minimalism.

The Kaari Wall Console is elegantly simple. This wall-mounted desk  uses bent steel to great effect, offering a functional and attractive option for minimalist home interiors. Measuring 100 x 34 x 45 cm, this rectangular desk has been fashioned from black oak and linoleum, along with the steel framework which characterises Kaari products. The design of the Kaari Wall Console ensures that no part of its structure touches the floor, thereby providing maximum leg room for users. Because of this, it is ideal for homes with limited space, or where items need to be stored below desks, and the extra room leaves plenty of space to manage cables.
