The Kaari REB012 Table Clear Lacquered Oak 160x80cm was designed by Erwan Bouroullec and Ronan Bouroullec for the brand Artek .
Artek was founded in 1935 in Helsinki by four radical young designers who shared a determination to create radical designs that, in their words, stand for "clarity, finctionality and simplicity". The Bouroullec brothers are based in Paris and have extended their design work from jewellery to large projects. Their designs have been exhibited widely, both in galleries and in museums.
This striking table is part of the Kaari range. The table top is available either in black linoleum or white HPL. In both cases, the legs of the Kaari REB012 Table Clear Lacquered Oak 160x80cm are made of natural, solid oak that is structured as two solid pillars in the middle of each end of the table. These clear-lacquered oak legs are supported within a framework of black powder-coated bent steel. This bent steel aspect is common to the entire Kaari range, which includes desks, tables and shelving units. ("Kaari" means "arch" in Finish.) The Kaari REB012 Table Clear Lacquered Oak 160x80cm is 74cm high, 160cm long and 80cm wide.
