Artek is a Finnish company that specialises in furniture, lighting and accessories. It was founded in 1935 by Alvar Aalto, an architect, his wife Aino Aalto, a visual arts promoter and Nils-Gustav Hahl, an art historian. The name of the company is a combination of art and technology. Siblings Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec create superb designs for chairs, rugs, office furniture and tables such as the Kaari REB003 Table Black Oak Ø80cm .
