This traditionally styled 90023 Creamer was created by Aldo Ross for leading Italian design company Alessi.
Traditionally styled may be the wrong term here, as Ross's design was part of what created the said tradition. If its shape and form look familiar to you, it may be because Ross created the iconic design for the company back in the eighties, and its minimalist and simplistic form went on to have a major impact on design for items of its kind.
The 90023 Creamer is made from polished stainless steel, which makes it durable, beautiful and extremely easy to clean. The material contrasts well with the pale colour of the cream inside, making for a simple aesthetic of yesteryear. It is a compact unit at 7.2cm high and with a diameter of 5.9cm; it's optimum size for common portions of cream. It is also lightweight at only 100 grams. Alberto Alessi states that his ideal design combines nostalgic reverence with tried and tested function and utility. The 90023 Creamer operates on this design level, delivering practical application and mixing it with effective artistic minimalism.
