The w171 Alma s Suspension Lamp has been created by Tham & Videgård for the brand Wästberg. Founded by architects Bolle Tham and Martin Videgård, the Swedish studio takes an experimental, innovative approach to design. This is evidenced by the w171 Alma s Suspension Lamp the studio designed for Wästberg. Its shape is inspired by a rotated sine wave that creates an interesting play of light and shadows when the lamp is on. It has a sleek profile comprising concentric circles of aluminium. These have a satin matte finish that add to this luminaire's sophisticated look. When suspended from the ceiling, it resembles floating discs. The light that this lamp casts can be changed by changing its light source in the E27 socket. There is the choice of mounting this lamp on a ceiling or wall directly or suspending it.

The w171 Alma s Suspension Lamp has a height of 2.3cm, a diameter of 69cm and a cable that is 300cm long. It is dimmable. The lamp can be placed in a cluster to create the illusion of lights floating from the ceiling. It is ideal for placing in areas with traffic like an entryway or hallway or a kitchen or dining area where the lamps can be placed for effect.
