The LCW Chair was created in the year 1945 by designer couple Charles & Ray Eames for Vitra.
The LCW Chair, which is part of the Plywood Group by Charles & Ray Eames, is made of thin moulded sheets of ash wood. The formerly stiff material becomes a gentle support for the body and back by means of this special manufacturing process, which is why this chair by Vitra wonderfully adapts to your needs and is especially comfortable. The individual elements of the LCW are fixed to the frame with elastic rubber discs, further enhancing the seating comfort. The height of the LCW Chair by Vitra is 68 cm. The LCW - by the way, this abbreviation stands for Lounge Chair Wood - is available in the versions red and black, as well as in a natural wood colour.
The LCW is also available in a version with a cover made of cow's hide, another version with a leather cover. Please see the "Collection" for more information. The LCW is also available as the Dining Chair Wood DCW with a height of 73 cm. Besides the LCW Chair we also carry many other products by Vitra!
