The iconic Lampe de Bureau Table Lamp was created by Jean Prouvé for the famous Swiss design company Vitra.

Jean Prouvé started his career as a self-taught designer and architect, creating pieces of furniture that have been exhibited in the Pompidou Museum, Paris and the German Architecture Museum in Frankfurt. Prouvé found the perfect collaborative partner with Vitra.

Bringing a touch of the kind of retro style that never goes out of fashion, the Lampe de Bureau Table Lamp is a design classic. Designed in 1930 as a lamp for Jean Prouvé's university halls of residence, this small light has been thoughtfully created with reading and studying in mind. Made from a pleasingly curved sheet of metal, it comes in a variety of colours and uses one LED-Bulb E27. It has a width of 24cm, a height of 22.5cm and a depth of 14.5cm, with its compact dimensions making it ideal for a small desk or side table. The Lampe de Bureau Table Lamp's simple shape is unassuming but still makes a big impact, as it softly radiates light from its central bulb.
