Product description

The S 1520 Wall Coat Rack was designed by Randolf Schott for the brand Thonet.

Founded by a master carpenter in Germany in the late 19th-century, Thonet saw its influence and success grow when it turned to mass production and pioneered the use of tubular steel for furniture and home accessories. The use of tubular steel is still an important part of the label's lines and is continued by designers such as Randolf Schott. Schott brings together his backgrounds in cabinet making and product design in his furniture and accessories.

The S 1520 Wall Coat Rack owes its inspiration to the classic tubular steel coat racks produced by the label in the 1930s. The size and design of these have been cleverly adapted for modern requirements, giving more space for clothing and objects. The curved steel pipe frame is pleasing to look at while the spacious shelf for hats and bags is made from highly durable translucent mesh. The design is completed with ten covered coat hooks. A matching shoe rack is also available. The S 1520 Wall Coat Rack measures a generous 100cm in length with a depth of 36.5cm and a height of 25cm.
