The Basalt Single Suspension Lamp has been created by the in-house studio for the brand Tala. Headquartered in Soho, London, Tala is one of the most exciting labels in global lighting design. Mixing a love of simplicity with a desire to craft lighting products that are as energy efficient as possible, the company has capitalised on the rise of environmental awareness - while developing a striking ability to create eye-catching forms.

The Basalt Single Suspension Lamp is a great example. Resembling basalt stone from the Giant's Causeway, this pendant lamp will introduce a natural element to anyone's home. The Basalt Single Suspension Lamp is built around an E27 illuminant, which guarantees efficient operation and completes the basalt column shape. The bulb slots into an attractive brass fixture, which contrasts well with the white bulb, and the whole ensemble measures 5.7cm in width, 7.4cm in height and 5.7cm in depth. Each Basalt lamp hangs from a 400cm cable, which can be adjusted to suit different situations. It also weighs 2.5kg, which helps to stabilise it, even in well ventilated homes where breezes are a factor. Finally, the lamp is also externally dimmable if required. The appropriate E27 bulb is included in the delivery.
