Alwa One Side Table

The Alwa One Side Table has been created by Sebastian Herkner for the brand pulpo. Created in 2015, Alwa is a range of tables which summarise Herkner's creative spirit. Instead of using standard production techniques, the German designer chose to craft the tabletops from cast glass, giving each one a unique appearance and texture.

In terms of form, the Alwa One Side Table also features a couple of unusual decisions. For instance, the base is V-shaped, ensuring that the table is perfectly stable, while creating a neat contrast with the rounded tabletop. The base of the rugged steel frame also slots into the cast glass top, making it easy to clean the glass and adding to the geometric effect.

Otherwise, the Alwa One Side Table functions as a standard occasional table. It measures 44cm in height and has a diameter of 48cm. It has sufficient space for coffee cups, snacks, magazines and essentials like TV remote controls. The tabletop can also be ordered in a range of colours, all of them featuring the appealing bubbles and opacity that result from cast class production techniques. Each Alwa One Side Table will provide a source of aesthetic delight to complement its exceptional practical features.
