Marre Carpet Runner 70x150cm

The stylish Marre Carpet Runner 70x150cm was designed by Lina Rikardsson for the design manufacturer Pappelina. Rikardsson founded the rug manufacturer Pappelina in 1993 and has become internationally renowned for creating products that are innovative and created using great craftsmanship. Plastic rugs were originally very popular in the 1950's and 60's but they are now experiencing a revival due to their great appearance, durability and ability to remain clean.

The Marre Carpet Runner 70x150cm was created in a rug weaving mill in Sweden using a traditional loom and wooden shuttles. Welded ribbon is used throughout the manufacture for durability and strength. Raw plastic is used in the creation of the plastic foils that the rug is made from, ensuring that no hazardous heavy metals or harmful softeners are involed. The rug is, therefore, suitable for use in a child's bedroom or playroom. The Marre Carpet Runner 70x150cm is suitable for areas with heavy footfall such as hallways or living rooms thanks to its durability. It can be used in the kitchen or bathroom as it is water resistant and due to the materials being incredibly robust, it can also be used outside.
