Product description

The Pebble Rug 240x170cm has been created by Margrethe Odgaard for the brand Muuto. Danish textile designer Odgaard aspires to create designs that give a full, sensory experience. The Pebble Rug 240x170cm certainly does that. It has a tactile surface that is inspired by the feeling of walking on a beach filled with pebbles. The handwoven rug acquires this texture through a handweaving technique in which thick wool fibre yarn is wrapped around a rod to form an even, precise loop. This technique integrates the loops into the jute base of the rug, which is made of a blend of 60 percent New Zealand wool and 40 percent jute. The blend makes for a soft yet textured surface that is organic and hardwearing. It has a canvas backing that is attached using synthetic latex, thereby ensuring that the rug will lie flat and even on the floor. The pattern of the rug has a pebble-like middle with a flat border all around in a matching colour. The widths of the rug are also finished with an outer edge of 'pebbles'.

The Pebble Rug 240x170cm has a length of 240cm and a width of 170cm. It is available in a choice of colours.
