Common Comrades Emperor Side Table

The Common Comrades Emperor Side Table was designed by Neri and Hu for the manufacturer Moooi, a company from the Netherlands which has achieved international recognition with its vibrant, youthful furniture and lighting.

Educated in America but based in China, Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu are a busy design partnership who work successfully across a range of disciplines. Many of their pieces blend Asian influences with a crisp, cool, industrial finish. They are the winner of Perspective, Red Dot and ID Magazine awards.

There's a feeling of Imperial China to the Common Comrades Emperor Side Table from Moooi. This is apparent in the royal colour of the deep, rich, glossy lacquer which covers the piece's solid birch frame. There's also a traditional quality to the shape of the table, which resembles a tuning fork with its flat square top and distinctively curving legs.
