The NVL Dining Table Oval 120x200cm has been created by Jean Nouvel for the brand MDF Italia. French designer Nouvel uses his architectural skills to create clean, sculpted pieces. His technique is clear in the NVL Dining Table Oval 120x200cm. The geometrical shapes of this table make it stand out. It has a cylinder-shaped base and an oval top. It is also distinguished due to the base being divided into two distinct parts. The upper part of the legs are tapered, which creates a triangle shape between them and adds another shape. Another contrast is with the table top, which is thin and appears to float over the solid base. The design of the table is centred around the trilith principle in which a structure made of two vertical elements supports a third element that is placed horizontally. This table is notable for its combination of geometric shapes.

The NVL Dining Table Oval 120x200cm is made of hard polyurethane, cast iron, wood fibre and felt underlays. It measures 200cm in length, 120cm in width and 74cm in height. It makes a statement of understated elegance in a dining room and can also be used in meeting rooms.
