The Shell Chair Sirka Grey Oak has been created by Michael W. Dreeben for the brand Mater. An American industrial designer who is also a sculptor and woodworker, Dreeben does work that displays his sculpting and traditional crafting skills. At the same time, his pieces use technology to optimise functionality. One of his most popular designs is the Shell Chair Sirka Grey Oak.It has a high, broad backrest that tapers towards the lower edge. It then broadens out into a well-sized seat. The shell is a single, unified piece with a series of curves that gives it a sleek, sophisticated look. Over it is upholstery of premium quality chrome-free aniline leather from the brand Dunes. The shell is made of FSC-certified solid oak that is sustainably sourced from well-managed forests. The shell rests on a frame that is also made of solid oak. Rather than the customary four straight legs, this frame has an X-shaped support underneath the shell. Each end of the frame has a rounded leg with a glider underneath.

The Shell Chair Sirka Grey Oak has a width of 49cm, a depth of 57cm and a height of 87cm. Its seating height is 45cm. It is available in a choice of colours.
