The Panthella Floor Lamp has been created by Verner Panton for the brand Louis Poulsen. Panthella was first created in 1971 and is an icon of modern Danish design. Capable of creating an almost glare-free light and sporting an appealing mushroom-like form, the lamp mixes technical accomplishment and playful style. It can be used anywhere in the home, adding fun and functional lighting wherever it is needed.
The Panthella Floor Lamp has an elongated central column which connects to a wide bowl-shaped diffuser. The base and tip of the spine are gently curved, adding a sensuous touch to the design, and creating a sense of flow that sets the lamp apart. The exterior has been made from acrylic plastic, while the shade is made from white glass. Power is provided by a discreet white cable, which also includes the on/off switch and can easily be operated by foot.
The Panthella Floor Lamp measures 131.1cm high and has a maximum diameter of 50cm, while the base diameter is 34.5cm. The cable is 250cm long, providing freedom to move the lamp as required, and the lamp weighs a total of 5.6kg. It uses a single E27 halogen bulb to generate a restful, soothing source of light.
