Seela S342 Office Chair

The Seela S342 Office Chair was created by Antti Kotilainen for the brand LaPalma.

Born in Finland and based in Helsinki, Antti Kotilainen has been a top furniture designer for numerous Scandinavian companies and was twice a winner of the prestigious Good Design Award from the Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. Kotilainen's creations combine functionality with visual appeal and explore new methods of working with wood as exemplified by the S342 Office Chair.

Ideal for use in home or business settings, and weighing 8kg, the S342 Office Chair is a solid piece of furniture. Although created with durability and functionality primarily in mind, this office chair is also an attractive piece comprised of a complementary combination of metal, fabric and wood. The moulded oak seat is set at a height of 43cm with an ergonomic 34cm backrest providing solid support and comfort. The chair is supported on four solid polypropylene castors allowing for ease of movement but as the castors span an area of 50 x 50cm they are secure enough to prevent the chair moving accidentally. The back of the chair is covered in a durable soft fabric which is long-lasting and easily replaced when necessary.
