The Tulip Eero Saarinen Stool was designed by famous late Finnish designer Eero Saarinen for furniture manufacturer Knoll International.
Saarinen was born in 1910, the son of Finnish architect Eliel Saarinen. Following his education, during which he took courses in sculpture and furniture design, Saarinen began work for his father at his firm Saarinen, Swansen and Associates. Eero first received critical acclaim while working for his father on the Organic Design in Home Furnishings project with Charles Eames. During his long collaboration with Knoll, he designed several important pieces of furniture including the Womb and Grasshopper chairs.
The Tulip Eero Saarinen Stool has a stylish look that complements any room in the home and works well with all styles of décor. The compact size of the stool could make it a useful addition to a small room or workspace, whether used as a seating solution at a desk or in combination with a kitchen counter. The stool is 45cm high, 40cm in diameter and has a seat height of 45cm. With a plastic and metal construction, the stool is durable and feels sturdy to sit on. The fabric seat pad is easy to keep clean and provides comfortable support for long periods of time.
