P/Wood Office Chair Beech

The P/Wood Office Chair Beech has been created by Philippe Starck for the brand Kartell. Multi-talented French architect and industrial designer Starck takes a playful and curious approach to design, resulting in outstanding, innovative pieces. These qualities are easy to see in the P/Wood Office Chair Beech.

The shell of the P/Wood Chair has been made from a fine layer of curved 3D wood that has a low environmental impact. The wood was bent into shape using patented Smart Wood technology, making its eye-catching form possible. Meanwhile, the wide backrest has a curved upper edge and straight edges that broaden out into a generously sized seat. The shell rests on a tubular stem made from steel which branches out into a star-shaped base at the bottom. Wheels on every leg make movement easy, the stem allows the shell to swivel, while a lever makes it possible to adjust the seat height.

The P/Wood Office Chair Beech has a width of 51cm, a height of 81cm and a depth of 60cm, with a seat height of 39cm. It is available with a dark beech seat and a black lacquered or chromed base or light beech with a chromed base.
