Product description

The Madame Pucci Armchair has been created by Philippe Starck for the brand Kartell.This chair is an intriguing play on shapes and colours.

The Madame Pucci Armchair has a standard height, a wide backrest that has a straight upper edge and side edges that form armrests. The seat below is well-sized and it too has the same austere lines. The austerity of the straight lines is broken by the bright, bold colours of the chair and the flamboyant designs at the back of the chair. The shell is made of polyurethane while the frame is made of transparent or mass-dyed polycarbonate. The frame is either transparent or black. Both form a striking contrast against the colourful design at the back of the chair. The cover that has the design is made of cotton which is breathable and durable.

The Madame Pucci Armchair has a width of 55cm, a height of 74cm and a depth of 52.5cm. Its seat height is 46cm. It is part of the Emilio Pucci Fashion House World Edition Project. While the prints on the seat cover are abstract, they are rooted in the architecture found in the cities of Milan, Shanghai, New York, Paris and Rome. This is also why the armchairs are named after the cities which each chair featuring each city's most prominet architecture.
