The Invisible Table Coffee Table was designed by Tokujin Yoshioka for Kartell.
Yoshioka is a Japanese artist and designer, famous for his chic design aesthetic and varied work with big-name designers and brands such as BMW, Hermes and Issey Miyake. He has worked in a diverse range of design fields, and his outstanding success has been recognised through numerous awards including the Maison&Objet Creator of the Year 2012 and Tokyo Designers Week Artist of the Year in 2010.
The Invisible Table Coffee Table from Kartell features either transparent or coloured plastic PMMA and is 100cm wide, 100cm deep and 31.5cm high, offering spacious proportions that work well with the demands of everyday life. The Invisible Table Coffee Table lives up to its name, with objects seeming to float above it, and the transparent plastic lending a contemporary, barely-there vibe, almost resembling a liquid or vapour rather than a solid construction. This design was awarded the Good Design Award in 2012 and the Red Dot Award Product Design: Best of the Best in 2013, and looks incredible in any interior room, including living rooms and dining rooms.
