É Suspension Lamp

The É Suspension Lamp was designed by Ferruccio Laviani for the brand Kartell. Kartell is among the leading European lighting brands and has been revolutionising conceptions of illumination since being founded by Giulio Castelli in 1949. The Italian label also promotes leading contemporary talent such as Ferruccio Laviani. Born in 1960, Laviani has been a regular collaborator for the brand since debuting in 1991, and the É collection has been just one of the fruits of that relationship. Based around delicately coloured shades, the collection has a timeless feel and retro charm as the É Suspension Lamp shows.

The É Suspension Lamp stands out with its shell-shaped diffuser which has been moulded by Laviani from polycarbonate plastic. The plastic refracts light playfully, muting any glare and creating a complex source of illumination, while the beautiful shade measures 14.5 x 13.5 cm - putting the lamp on the smaller end of the spectrum. Users can hang the lamp easily via an adaptable cable, while a single E14 bulb will be energy efficient and long-lasting, although other bulb classes can be switched in as needed.
