The Bookworm Wall Shelf 820x20cm has been created by Ron Arad for the brand Kartell.This bookshelf defies convention with its sinuous shape rather than the usual standing bookcases or shelves mounted on a wall. Made of mass-coloured PVC that is treated to be flame retardant.

The Bookworm Wall Shelf 820x20cm comes as a long piece that can be mounted in any configuration. However, it is recommended it is mounted in curves because this builds tension that enables the shelf to bear the load of books much better than a shelf that is in one continuous line. To ensure that the books will remain in place within the curves, it has book stops along its length. The shelf can hold a weight of up to approximately 10kg in the space in between the stops.

The Bookworm Wall Shelf 820x20cm has a length of 820cm and a width of 20cm. It comes in matte aluminium, black, bordeaux, matte white and cobalt blue. It is a shelf that goes on the wall which saves on floor space and is of great benefit for those living in small spaces like studio apartments and dorm rooms. In addition to being functional, it is also an aesthetic accessory.
