The Putki Table Lamp has been created by Matti Klenell for the brand iittala. Swedish industrial designer Klenell is known for his love of exploring new forms and possibilities. He does this while paying homage to Nordic design tradition. The Putki Table Lamp is a good representation of his design ethos and his incomparable talent. He designed the iconic lamp for the re-opening of the Sweden National Museum. Initially the lamp was designed to be large. It was later transformed for domestic use by scaling down the dimensions. Just like the original lamps, the lamp has a tall, rectangular shade made of mouthblown glass. The glass has vertical lines that add interest when the lamp is on so that it casts light that reveals these lines. Apart from the lines, the lamp also casts light that takes the colour of the shade, which comes in clear, copper and grey-coloured tones. The lamp stands on a base that stands on legs made of powder-coated steel or terracotta.
The Putki Table Lamp has a width of 16cm and a height of 34cm. Its cable is 230cm long. The lamp works with a single E27 bulb that can be ordered separately under accessories.
