The Aino Aalto glass set of four was designed by the designer Ainno Aalto in 1932 for the Finnish label iittala.
As the young designer created her beautiful Aino Aalto glass series in 1932 and was awarded the gold medal at the Milanese Triennial, she won that design competition against her well-known partner Alvar Aalto and since then has kept up to that high standard.
The timeless and simple design of the series is made of daily use, but looks amazing for special occasions as well: Daily meals, birthdays, festive events, and any other occasion - Aino Aalto is always the perfect choice, and that for already almost 80 years.
Aino Aalto created this glass design series inspired by the delicate ripples that develop on the water's surface when a stone is thrown in, which has already been copied many times. But no imitation will ever meet the standards and the clear shape of the original!
The glasses are not only pretty to look at, they also convince with another aspect: Aino Aalto glasses are timelessly modern and very durable.
This glass sets are available in one transparent version. A perfect match is the Aino Aalto glass carafe, see "similar products".
