Product description

The Slit Side Table Wood XL has been created by HAY for the brand HAY. The Danish brand aspires to present everyday items in a new light that improves their function and aesthetics. Another goal is to produce items that will last a long time both in terms of functionality and aesthetics. These values are clear to see in the Slit Side Table Wood XL.It is a wooden version of the bestselling Slit Table.

The design is inspired by the Japanese paper art known as origami. The art transforms a flat square piece of paper into a sculpture using a technique that involves folding and sculpting. With this table, the design creates the illusion that the table has been made to have slits in it. In actuality, it has a frame made of curved plywood sheets that have been attached to look like they have spaces or slits in between them by being folded beneath the tabletop. The frame supports a round tabletop that is also made of plywood with oak or walnut veneer.

The Slit Side Table Wood XL has a height of 35.5cm and a diameter of 65cm. It is available in black, walnut and natural oak.
