Product description

The Obello LED Lamp with Battery has been created by Bill Curry for the brand Gubi. American industrial designer Curry pioneered the lamps that did away with the conventional shade and base format. Introduced in 1971, the Obello LED Lamp with Battery has a unified mushroom-like form which flows beautifully, creating a magical light source for outdoor settings.

Updated by Gubi to include new production techniques, this portable lamp can withstand the elements outdoors. It has a domed shade made from frosted mouth-blown glass with ABS plastic elements. This shade narrows into a cone-shaped base with gliders underneath to hold it steady in the breeze. When fully charged, the lamp can keep going for 40 hours, and it has a dimmer on the base to modulate the intensity of the warm, white light. Light is generated by a pair of LEDs with the brighter bulb facing upwards and the dimmer one facing downwards - ensuring even light distribution from every angle.

The Obello LED Lamp with Battery has a height of 24cm and a maximum diameter of 22cm, with a base diameter of 10cm. It features a 100cm long USB charging cable, comes in a pure white colour, and weighs 1.2kg.
