J46 Chair Oak

The J46 Chair has been created by Poul M. Volther for the brand FDB Møbler.

Designed in 1956, the J46 Chair continues to hold its own in terms of style .It is proven to be one of the brand's best-sellers over decades. It has sold over 800,000 within Denmark alone where it was designed and produced. Its appeal lies in its traditional look of spindles, a high backrest and clean, uncluttered lines. Its backrest has spindles that go up to the wide seat that has curved sides. The shell is supported by a frame that has thick, rounded legs whose design works well with the spindles. Similarly shaped bars running along and across the legs form an H-shaped footrest.

The J46 Chair has a width of 44cm, a height of 79.6cm and a depth of 48cm. It has a seat depth of 38cm. It is available in a choice of natural or lacquered finishes. Seat cushions are available for sale separately.
