Mom Garden Armchair

The Mom Garden Armchair was designed by Florent Coirier for the brand Emu.

When designing the Mom Garden Armchair for the Italian outdoor furniture company, Florent Coirier took as his inspiration the brightly-coloured lacquered Japanese trays that are as practical as they are attractive. Available in a range of appealing colours, these chairs look equally striking whether arranged as a single colour set or using a variety of differently coloured ones.

Made from varnished steel, the Mom Garden Armchair is constructed to withstand the rigours of the weather while still maintaining its good looks. Each chair weighs a sturdy 7.6kg, giving it additional protection on windy days and yet ensuring that it is light enough to be moved easily. The chairs are stackable for convenient and easy storage. With an overall height of 76cm, the chair has a gently curving backrest, a seat height of 45cm, a width of 58.5cm, a depth of 56cm and armrests that are positioned 65cm from the ground. Although its natural habitat is the garden or terrace for a long al fresco lunch or evening drinks, it is equally at home in a conservatory or dining area.
