Jasper Morrison was born in London in 1959. After attending Kingston Polytechnic Design School from 1979 to 1982, Morrison studied design at the Royal College of Art. In 1984 he was given a grant to study at what was then the Akademie der Künste in Berlin.

In 1986 Jasper Morrison set up a design studio in London.
His work was included in the Documenta 8 exhibition in Kassel in 1987, for which he created the Reuters News Centre. One year later he was invited to take part in "Design Werkstadt", a part of the "Berlin, Cultural City of Europe" program, where he exhibited "Some new items for the house, part I" at the DAAD Gallery.
In 2001 he was elected as a Royal Designer for Industry.
In 2003 a branch office was opened in Paris. Jasper Morrison Ltd. have worked and in most cases still do for a wide-ranging customers base including: Alessi (Italy), Cappellini (Italy), Flos (Italy), Magis (Italy), Rosenthal (Germany), Rowenta (France), Sony Design Centre Europe, Vitra (Switzerland). By now the light "Glo Ball" (Flos) and the "Air Chair" (Magis) have been cult objects yet.

In 2004, Jasper Morrison Ltd. began consultancies with Samsung (Korea), Muji (Japan), Ideal Standard (UK) and Olivetti (Italy).
In 2005, together with the Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa "Super Normal" was founded.
In June 2006, first "Super Normal" exhibition in Tokyo.

Jasper Morrison won numerous design prizes, such as the red dot design award and the iF design award.
