The RF1903L Sideways Sofa Left 197x104cm has been created by Rikke Frost for the brand Carl Hansen. Its innovative design does away with the conventional. Its outstanding form won the designer the 2021 Bo Bedre Furniture of the Year Award.

Apart from its unusual shape, the RF1903L Sideways Sofa Left 197x104cm stands out because of the combination of materials it is made of. Its backrest is curved inwards which sends a silent invitation for intimate conversation. It is made of solid wood which is steam-bent so that it can take the desired shape. Plywood and MDF have been used for this. On the outside, it is overlaid with a woven paper cord which adds an organic, original touch. The seat is also contoured so it aligns with the curved backrest. Both the seat and backrest are well-padded and upholstered with premium-quality fabric from the Kvadrat range. The sofa's frame is made of either solid oak or walnut. Its warm tones can be seen at the back of the sofa, on one side of it and below the seat.
