The CH36 Soft Tones Chair Frame Beech has been created by Hans J. Wegner for the brand Carl Hansen. Designed in 1962, it has never lost its appeal. It is an apt representation of the American Shaker furniture style combined with the dedicated craftsmanship that Scandinavia is known for.

The CH36 Soft Tones Chair Frame Beech is a Sustainable Choice product. It is made of FSC-certified wood and finished with low-pollutant paint. It has a wide, standard-height backrest that has a straight upper edge with a lower one that is subtly curved. This optimises back support. The seat below is just as wide and it steals the spotlight as it is made of woven cord paper yarn. It has been used to create a tight, elegant weave which is done by hand. The base is also made of beech. It has rounded legs that taper slightly. Narrow bars go across the legs which form footrests. Straight bars join the legs from front to back which makes for a stronger, more stable chair.

The CH36 Soft Tones Chair Frame Beech has a width of 52cm, a height of 81cm and a depth of 48cm. It has a seat height of 45cm. It is available in neutral and earth-toned colours with natural cord paper yarn.
