BK12 Outdoor Lounge Sofa

The BK12 Outdoor Lounge Sofa has been created by Bodil Kjær for the label Carl Hansen. Introduced in 1959, the BK12 uses precise geometric shapes and fine teak wood to create an outdoor sofa that's gorgeous to behold and extremely comfortable to use. It will be ideal for use on patios and terraces, as well as conservatories and balconies.

The BK12 Outdoor Lounge Sofa is made from slatted teak wood, with a series of vertical slats dominating the design. The gaps between these elements are kept thin but are wide enough to add definition, while a horizontal back bar and the right-angled arm rest and legs complement the slatted seat beautifully. The sofa measures 132.5cm wide and is 72.5cm deep, with a total height of 74.5cm, a seat height of 39.5cm and an armrest height of 66.5cm.

While it can be used in naked format, the sofa is also designed to accommodate Carl Hansen cushions, adding another element of softness. And while it is totally suited to outdoor settings, it can also be used indoors to enhance living rooms if desired.
