The stated goal of jankurtzmöbel – the official name of the label – is to create furniture that expresses personal style as well as strong personal emotions. Both components together make up the perfect requirements for a home, in which you can feel cosy and comfortable. When founding the company in the mid-1990s Jan Kurtz set out to produce “well constructed design furniture of high quality“ and at price-conscious conditions. As already mentioned, the successful story of the design label started with the Amigo sun lounger, part of the Jan Kurtz collection even today. This very first creation already showed the typical Jan Kurtz features and distanced itself from the similar products by competing companies: The frame of the lounger is made of aluminium, the tube's diameter is generously measured, the fabric is robust – in short: Jan Kurtz designs garden and outdoor furniture with style, charms, and high quality.
