9091 Kettle with Magnetic Base

This Alessi Kettle 9091 was designed by Richard Sapper for the Italian label Alessi.

A family-owned business, Alessi was founded as a metal workshop back in 1921. In the 1950s, the firm began manufacturing high-end items for businesses, and later moved into homeware, including kitchenware, bath accessories, garden tools and much more. Later in the 1980s, the brand began fruitful associations with famed designers and architects; the result was a slew of celebrated items, including tea and coffee sets in bold designs. At the same time, the label diversified by using materials other than steel, such as plastics and ceramics.

The Alessi Kettle 9091 is distinguished by its brass whistle which delivers a pleasant melody as the steam passes through. With its elegant stainless steel finish and chic black handle, the kettle is an object that appeals to many senses. It's a versatile unit which can be used on all types of heat sources, including induction heaters. The unit measures 19cm in height, 16.5cm in diameter and has a generous capacity of two litres.
