Linear Wood Bench 170x34cm

The Linear Wood Bench 170x34cm has been created by Thomas Bentzen for the label Muuto. Working out of his Copenhagen studio, Danish industrial designer Bentzen creates designs that honour the Scandinavian heritage of sleek, clean profiles. At the same time, he adds detailing that modernises the pieces. Made of lacquered oak that is sturdy and long lasting, the Linear Wood Bench 170x34cm has a seat that is not conventionally fixed on the frame. Instead, the seat, which is divided into two long pieces, goes into the tube-shaped legs in a way that leaves the outer half of the leg exposed. The seat has a side support beam that stabilises the bench and makes it more comfortable. This piece also has detailing in the form of geometrically shaped corners.

The Linear Wood Bench 170x34cm has a length of 170cm, a height of 46cm and a width of 34cm. It has a seat height of 46cm. Its proportions make it possible to store the bench under a table. This versatile piece can be used at home such at a dining table or in a children's playroom. It can also be used in public spaces such as waiting areas and receptions.
