The Swirl 331 Floor Lamp has been created by Øivind Slaatto for the brand Le Klint. Slaatto designed Swirl as an experiment with mathematical patterns, using a love of geometry to create an eye-catching shade which resembles a snail shell in composition. The use of semi-transparent materials and dynamic curves make this floor lamp a fine addition to living rooms and lounges, and it's a great representation of Danish brand Le Klint 's creative style.
The Swirl 331 Floor Lamp has a shade formed from a series of angled panels which connect into a swirl-like arrangement. These whirling panels are made from translucent PVC plastic that allows light to escape from the internal light source, while avoiding glare. Inside the lamp, Slaatto has added a discrete metal frame, adding valuable support, while a metallic vertical spine connects the shade to a circular base.
The Swirl 331 Floor Lamp measures 140cm high and has a shade diameter of 50cm. It weighs 5kg in total, and comes with a 300cm long power cable which contains the on/off switch. Illumination is provided by a single bulb which fits into the diffuser, and the appropriate lamp with the E27 socket can be ordered under accessories.
