The Rey Dining Table Veneer Ø128cm has been created by HAY for the brand HAY. The Danish brand straddles both sides of time by working with contemporary designers and bringing back iconic pieces from the past. One such piece is the Rey Dining Table Veneer Ø128cm which is being re-issued in collaboration with Dietiker.
The table is based on the original design which was for a chair. It was designed by the late legendary Swiss designer Bruno Rey who designed the chair in 1971. It went on the become the country's most commercially successful chair with over 1.5 million sales. The re-issue has retained most of the features of the original design. This includes a round tabletop that just touches the edges of the legs. This is made possible by screwless joining which is what made the original chair a big success when it was debuted. This form of joining makes the tabletop look like it is floating on the frame. The chipboard with a beech veneer top is supported by a frame of four slat-shaped legs that are made of solid beech.
The Rey Dining Table Veneer Ø128cm has a height of 74.5cm and a diameter of 128cm. It is available in a shade of gold.
