Product description

The Apex Desk Lamp has been created by John Tree for the brand HAY. The designer drew inspiration from old-school banker's lamps. While retaining their distinctive basic features, he added others that cross it over to the contemporary side.

The Apex Desk Lamp has a steel shade. The centre of it sits on a short arm. The shade goes over the arm on either side to form equally sized rectangle-shaped flaps. The design mimics the peaked edges found on roofs which is what inspired its name Apex. This distinctive shade can swivel by up to 360 degrees which means it can cast light with precision. The shade is supported by a rounded steel stem finished with chrome plating. It works to elevate the sophisticated look of the shade finished with wet spray. It is angled along its length, straightening at the very bottom to go into a similarly finished round disc.

The Apex Desk Lamp has a length of 16cm, a width of 38.8cm and a height of 38cm. Its cable which has an on/off inline switch has a length of 200cm. The lamp cannot be dimmed. It is available in bright and neutral colours. It is compatible with an E14 socket and the bulb has to be purchased separately.
