The chic Brick 223 Chair was designed by Paola Navone for popular furniture brand Gervasoni.
Navone graduated in 1973 from the Turin Politecnico and worked alongside some of the most progressive designers in the Italian design scene, including Andrea Branzi and Ettore Sottsass Jr. Navone considers herself a citizen of the world, having travelled extensively around the globe. She is highly influenced by her travels, often incorporating cultural elements and styles into the design of her furniture works. In her long and successful career she has flitted between the roles of architect, designer, teacher and critic.
The classically stylish Brick 223 Chair brings the ideal balance between functionality and style, with a sturdy oak wood design and fabric upholstery finish that both look and feel great. Standing at 83cm high, 50cm wide and 46cm deep, the chair has an ergonomic shape that supports the contours of the body to provide a comfortable sitting experience for hours on end. The traditional-meets-modern shape of the legs and back support highlight the natural beauty of the oak wood frame, lending an aesthetic that is both familiar and exciting. Due to the chair's clever design and high quality construction, it offers high stability and slip resistance along with great longevity.
