The unique and distinctive Brick 221 Chair was designed for the leading Italian manufacturer Gervasoni by the renowned and highly respected designer Paola Navone.
After graduating with a degree in architecture from the Turin Politecnico in 1973, the young architect worked alongside eminent designers such as Ettore Sottsass Jr and Andrea Branzi during her employment at the Alchimia Group. Soon after, Navone's talent and keen eye for design was recognised, earning her the Osaka International Design Award. Today, Paola Navone is director of art at Gervasoni, a position she has held since 1998.
Based on a classic chair design, the Brick 221 Chair is characterised by its simple yet pleasing form and textured fabric backrest and seat.
