Product description

The Series 7™ Bar Stool has been created by Arne Jacobsen for the brand Fritz Hansen. The late Danish architect and industrial designer Jacobsen lives on in his designs, many of which have become iconic. A good example is the Series 7™ Bar Stool he designed in 1955. It is still a benchmark of the architectural functionalism that he pioneered and championed. Jacobsen was also an advocate of the innovative use of layers of veneer pressed together to form a strong, flexible material that can be shaped into new, unique shapes. The stool has a backrest that is wide at the back and narrow at the bottom. From here, it broadens out into a well-sized seat that is slightly upturned at the edges. This elegantly curved veneer shell rests on a frame of tubular steel. A square-shaped footrest of tubular steel completes the design. Gliders under the legs make the stool easy to move around.

The Series 7™ Bar Stool has a height of 110cm, a width of 53cm and a depth of 59cm. It has a seat height of 76cm and a backrest height of 110cm. It is available in neutral and earthy colours. Anti-slip seat mats are available for purchase separately.
