The N01? Armchair was designed by Oki Sato for the brand Fritz Hansen.

Working under the Nendo label, Sato has become one of modern Japan's finest designers, sweeping awards for his wallpaper, as well as Elle Deco, Red Dot, and Maison & Objet Awards for his wide range of chairs. His commitment to elegance and restraint is a great fit for Fritz Hansen , a Danish brand which has been working wonders with wood since the 1900s.

The N01? Armchair showcases Sato's skill. Fusing the minimalist traditions of Denmark and Japan, it is a contemporary classic which will slot seamlessly into designer interiors. The N01? Armchair has a standard armchair form, standing 77cm tall, while measuring 62cm wide and 49cm deep. This provides ample room to sit comfortably, while the seat height of 46.5cm is perfectly set up for dining tables and offices alike. But when you look closely, the chair is deeply unconventional. Sato has processed a blend of solid and plywood materials to create imaginative curves which seduce the eye, showing off the texture of the raw materials, while adapting the N01? Armchair perfectly to the needs of everyday users.
