Product description

The Gem Floor Lamp has been created by Ludovica Palomba and Roberto Palomba for the brand Foscarini. Making intelligent use of blown glass and painted metal, the Gem Floor Lamp has been crafted to resemble a gemstone. When the bulb is engaged, it casts a seductive glow across nearby areas, creating a magical and refined atmosphere.

The Gem Floor Lamp immediately captures attention with its rounded shade. Made from opal blown-glass the 43cm diameter sphere has been delicately rippled via an acid-etching process, which enriches the texture of its light, creating a mysterious effect which varies with every product. Meanwhile, the slender 183cm long metal spine makes the shade seem to float in the air. However, this delicate touch doesn't compromise the lamp's stability. The spine connects to a circular 40cm diameter metal base, ensuring that the lamp won't topple easily.

The Gem Floor Lamp features a TRIAC dimmer to adjust brightness, and this can be found on the 220cm long fabric covered cable which is attached to the lamp. Inside the shade, owners will find a socket for an E14 bulb. The bulb is not supplied with the product, but can be ordered under accessories.
