Product description

The Bilboquet Table Lamp has been created by Philippe Malouin for the brand Flos. Its design and name are inspired by the French game bilboquet, or cup and ball as we know it. It's clear to see why it gets this name, as the body of the lamp resembles the nostalgic game. The designer describes this innovative piece as 'one for Generation Z and the millennials' who are always on the hunt for something unique.

The Bilboquet Table Lamp is made up of a pair of cylinder-shaped pieces. They are made of a specially pigmented polycarbonate made of recycled paper waste. They are attached to each other with a magnetic sphere. It serves as a joint that makes it possible for the cylinder at the top to rotate and cast light in the desired direction. The movement is enabled by a slit on the base of the lamp. The lamp has an inbuilt LED bulb and cut-off that provides direct light. It is assembled without any glue so that every part can be separated and recycled at the end of its life.

The Bilboquet Table Lamp has a length of 10.4cm and a width of 6cm. Its height is 20.3cm and its cable that has an in-line on/off switch has a length of 200cm. The lamp cannot be dimmed. It comes in bright and neutral colours and works with a GU10 socket.
