Product description

The Screw Side Table S has been created by Eero Aarnio for the brand Eero Aarnio Originals. The idea for this table came to Aarnio when he saw a screw as he was sketching a design. He was then inspired to turn this unassuming, everyday object into a larger-than-life table.

The Screw Side Table S has a tabletop that replicates the top of a screw. This includes the divide in the middle where a screwdriver gains purchase to remove or tighten a screw. The top narrows down to form a concave shape. Its body is made up of a stem that has the same ridges that are found on a screw. These go all the way down to the round base. The table is made of fibreglass which is strong and durable. It is finished with a gel coat which gives it a high-gloss look. The attention to detail in the replication is to be admired.

The Screw Side Table S has a height of 57cm and a diameter of 65cm. It can be used indoors as well as outdoors. Wherever it is placed, it will add intrigue with its shape that epitomizes industrial design.
