Product description

The Pastil Chair has been created by Eero Aarnio for the brand Eero Aarnio Originals.Here was another chance for the designer to show his prowess. He realised that with so many of his popular Ball Chairs being sent around the world, there was a vast amount of empty space in the packing crate. He set about designing a new piece that could fit into the space. The Pastil Chair was born. Which then won him the 1968 American Industrial Award.

Made of fibreglass with a gel coat finish, it has an ergonomic design that makes it supremely comfortable. It has an egg-shaped body with an opening in the middle for seating and a short backrest. Graceful curves mark the perimeter around the opening. A cushion can be added if so desired but the piece is very comfortable without it.

The Pastil Chair has a width of 92cm, a height of 52cm and a depth of 92cm. It has a seat height of 32cm. It comes in neutral, pastel and bold, bright colours. Another interesting feature on this unpeered chair is that it can float in water. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use by kids and adults alike.
