Sestessa Terra LED Floor Lamp

The Sestessa Terra LED Floor Lamp was designed by Mario Melocchi and Luta Bettonica for Cini and Nils.

Founded in Italy in 1969, Cini and Nils has created pieces worthy of being acquired by many museums around the world including the prestigious New York Museum of Modern Art. Mario Melocchi 1931-2013 was one of the original founders of the firm, while Luta Bettonica is its current artistic director, carrying on in the footsteps of her father Franco Bettonica 1927-1999 . Melocchi specialised in packaging design before applying his enormous talents to the field of luxury lighting.

Measuring 190cm in height, 33cm in width and 30cm in length, the Sestessa Terra LED Floor Lamp is made from aluminium coated with a matte finish. The racquet-shaped lamp head projects a diffused, indirect light that's ideal for supplying fill-in illumination to shadowy corners of living rooms and apartments. At the same time, the futuristic, sculptural quality of the Sestessa Terra LED Floor Lamp makes it a fascinating addition to the home in its own right, and when it is switched off, the absence of any obvious light source adds to its air of benign mystery.
